Welcome to the chronic tokers News & Home Page

                                                        The End (7/21/2014)

Well, that's all folks. The time has come to lay {CT} to rest. We've had a good run and did some new and interesting things with {CT} ever since we re-established it in 2009. However, all good things must come to an end. We'd like to thank those who have stuck with us over the years. We hope you enjoyed your time with us! We'd like to assure all remaining and active members of {CT} that there is a place for you. This is the end of the clan {CT}, but it's not the end of the friendships that have been made over the years. Out with the old and in with the new... All remaining members are cordially invited to join us at The House of Cosbys! Our new Steam group & home! A website is in the works and the mumble server will stick around until further notice. You can check it out here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ITSAHOUSEOFCOSBYS

In the meantime, the {CT} website will remain here for as long as is needed. So will the {CT} steam group & public group. But be aware that they will fade over time. So be sure to ask your fellow {CT} members about The House of Cosbys! We hope to see you there, but until then farewell from the Chronic Tokers!

HOLD ON, SO WHAT NOW? (6/18/2014)

Summer has yet again arrived and yet again {CT} experiences another uneventful year. What a shame. There just isn't much going for us anymore. Those of us who do play Left 4 Dead just do it out of habit for the most part. There are a few of us who are looking forward to the new game EVOLVE which was developed by the original creators of Left 4 Dead. However, we aren't putting all of our eggs into that basket. No, it seems that if {CT} doesn't find something for us all to enjoy and find new ground in then we might be looking at an inevitable demise.

As many of you know, {CT} (Chronic Tokers) was founded in 1999. To many this was an acceptable and welcome name for the clan. However, nowadays it has fallen under certain scrutiny. I personally loved the clan for the people who were a part of it, and when {CT}Sabz and I re-established {CT} back in 2009 we decided to keep the name as it was to respect those who were still around to appreciate it. However, the name Chronic Tokers does not hold much merit in our current state. It isn't a respectable name on Steam and does not carry much weight in the eyes of the player base. Therefore I believe a decision must be made in 2015 to either rebuild the clan from the ground up with a new name and theme, or tear it all down and lay it to rest. This decision is NOT set in stone. If we can manage to find our footing in 2014 and acquire an active group of people for a specific game or games then such decisions will not be necessary. Worst case scenario is that {CT} goes under, but that wont affect the friendships that we've made along the way. I don't imagine things will be much different from the way they are now. If anybody has any suggestions or comments regarding this matter please let me know or leave your thoughts on the {CT} guestbook and or forums.

In the meantime, the Steam Summer Sale is just around the corner. Maybe we can all find something awesome through that, although i'm not holding my breath.

If you're a {CT} member, a friend, or a guest visiting the site then I pose the question to you. What do you think should become of {CT}?
